Notes

Castleventure is a quasi-minimalist exploration of my impression of the music of adventure-style video games of the late 1980s to mid 1990s. A hallmark of that particular genre is the ability of a very short, simple piece of music to remain interesting, intriguing, and even catchy after hundreds of hours of continuous repetition. This concept lends itself to the four different themes that comprise Castleventure’s ABACADABA rondo form, each representative of a different area of a hypothetical game world.
